SRC is actively involved in local philanthropic activities including the Whitley County Community Foundation, Whitley County Humane Shelter, the Fort Wayne YWCA Women's Shelter, the Whitley County Literacy Council, Whitington Homes and Services, and Passages, Inc. In 2002, SRC was thrilled to provide its first science scholarships to help local graduating seniors and non-traditional students realize their dream of an advanced science degree.

SRC is located on the third floor of the Marshall, McNagny, & Clugston building (circa 1890) which housed the law office of Thomas R. Marshall, former Governor of Indiana and Vice President of the United States under Woodrow Wilson.

SRC was honored to participate in the restoration of the offices financed by Estlick, Girvin, & Lefever Insurance Agency.
